한국양금협회

한국양금협회는 한국에서 유일하게 양금 전공자들로 구성된 전문 단체로, 2016년에 전통을 기반으로 양 금의 대중적 보급과 발전을 위해 창단되었고, 2023년에는 서울시로부터 전문예술단체로 지정되었다. 협회에서 주로 사용하는 56음 개량양금은 윤은화 회장이 직접 개량하여 특허를 받은 악기로, 국악기 중 가장 넓은 음역을 자랑하며, 양금협회뿐만 아니라 국공립 고등학교, 대학교, 국악악단에서도 활발히 사용 되고 있다.
국제적으로는 헝가리, 스위스, 중국 등 세계 유수의 양금 단체들과 협력하며 국제적 위상을 공고히 하고 있다. 또한, 매년 정기연주회를 개최하고 있으며, 2022년 한국양금축제와 2023년 아시아양금축제를 성 공적으로 개최하였다. 특히 올해 2024년에는 제17회 세계양금축제를 주관·주최하며, 세계양금축제 역 사상 최초로 “세계양금대회”를 열어 한국양금협회의 저력을 세계에 널리 알리고자 한다.

The Korea Yanggeum Association is the only professional organization in Korea composed of yanggeum specialists. It was founded in 2016 to promote the popularization and development of the yanggeum based on tradition. In 2023, it was designated as a professional arts organization by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. The 56-string modified yanggeum, mainly used by the association, was personally developed and patented by President Yun Eun-hwa. This instrument boasts the widest range among traditional Korean instruments and is actively utilized not only by the association but also in national and public high schools, universities, and national orchestras.
Internationally, the association collaborates with leading yanggeum organizations in countries such as Hungary, Switzerland, and China, solidifying its global reputation. It also holds annual regular concerts and successfully hosted the 2022 Korean Yanggeum Festival and the 2023 Asian Yanggeum Festival. Notably, in 2024, the association will organize and host the 17th World Yanggeum Festival, introducing the first-ever “World Yanggeum Competition” in the history of the festival, aiming to showcase the strength and influence of the Korean Yanggeum Association to the world.
